About Me

The Pocono Equestrian Center is an all volunteer nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that is dedicated to the children and youth of the disabled communities. Therapeutic Riding is a vital program that helps our children cope with lifes challenges.Children with Emotional, physical, and physical disabilities. ********************************************************** Dear Fellow Arabian and Horse Lovers,The Pocono Equestrian Center located in Northeastern PA, is a nonprofit organization that is all volunteer organization. We work with special needs children and are trying to raise money to keep our programs expanding and have the ability to educate more people about our precious therapeutic horses. Sam-Kentucky Mountain Saddlebred, Phoebe,Aaziim,Tarhlee,Storm (Arabians), two pony mules.www.poconoequestrian.org (our Website) http://www.poconoequestrian.org/press.htm VideoThw two Main Therapeutic Horses are Storm a flea bitten grey Arabian who has about 62% crabbet/blunt blood lines. She is a good girl who is very intune to the physically disabled children. Storm has this intuition to stop when the student has shifted their body weight. She has an incredible ability that I haven't seen in any other breed at this point in my life. She is nuturing a Mentally Retarded Woman (21) to become more independent, and confident. This is something her father a psychologist who usually doesn't say too much; said "I would have never believed this could happen."Our other Incredible Therapeutic Horse is Phoebe, she has just under 50% Straight Egyptian and the rest is Crabbet/Blunt bloodlines. Phoebe is one of a kind that is very UNIQUE. This little big hearted horse we have had as our first horse in our programs. She picked us out by tucking her legs under herself and getting into our car on my husbands lap by playing with his shirt and then stuck her head in the back seat to play with my son (4 at the time). Phoebe now 6 yrs old is the most dependable hard working, wanting to please type of Arabian. She goes to the mall and does pony rides with her sneakers on with the magician, clown, elevators making a commotion, and a water fountain that she thinks is her personal watering hole. Phoebe will bring a smile to you face every time. All you can do is laugh.Thank you www.poconoequestrian.org

My Interests

Horses, children, outdoor activities, helping our community Horse training and psychology Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Downs Syndrome, special needs children who I can make a difference in their lives.

Besides Donald Trump, Country Singers, Arabian Owners, Clydesdale Owners.People with ideas to help us farther our cause and make a difference in more lives. We Would like it if we could have this awesome concert bash with comedians, musicians, artists, photographers and special needs people/children and families. That would be cool.People who are interested in our cause. Special needs children and horses. I like meeting new people who are interested in helping us continue our mission.
