"Spreadin' the gospel according to Hank Williams, Johnny Cash and Muddy Waters"
My given name is Jim Dorholt. I've been fortunate enough to have stayed busy as a Drummer in some great blues/roots bands in the Phoenix area and through my association with the Rhythm Room I've gotten to back some great national blues and roots players. Currently I am playin some good ol' Honky-Tonk with The Heymakers. In May of 2006 I was honored to be inducted into the Arizona Blues Hall of Fame.
"Jimmy Pines" is my solo project. I wanted to be able to play some of the old Hillbilly and country blues that doesn't have much in the way of drum parts like Jimmy Rodgers and Hank Williams. That has kind of expanded to include some Delta blues, Cowboy yodel'n and original material. It's alot of fun though sometimes hard to market here in Phoenix.
I hope you'll give my songs a listen and let me know what you think. Also browse thru my friends section. There are some of the best Roots-Blues-Americana musicians in the World there. Thanks and best of luck, Jimmy
