Scamp formed in 1995 with original members Chris (vocals, rhythm guitar), Darrin (lead guitar, back vox), TJ (bass, back vox), and Marcos (drums, back vox). We were a "hardcore" punk band modeling our music after the sounds of the likes of The Exploited, GBH, Chaos UK, Misfits-the list goes on and on. We released 3 albums ("Dead End," "Working Class Slavery," "Finally Sober and More P.C. Than Ever") over the 5 years as an actual band, but never really made it out of Portland due to constant line-up changes. Notable ones were Marcos leaving in 1997, replaced by Matt. TJ leaving and returning several times, and the eventual dissolution of the band itself. In 2000 Scamp, as a band, was no more. After several failings at putting things back together or starting something new, I decided the only person I could count on was myself. I taught myself how to play drums and bass, and started putting together a recording studio which I also taught myself how to use. I have done a lot of recording, and am nearly done with my third solo album as Scamp. In 2001 I recorded "All Alone," in 2002 "Lucky 13," which I re-recorded in 2005, and now working on "My Heart On My Sleeve." The recording is complete, but I lack the funds to master and duplicate it, so I'm not sure when it will be released. My music is, was, and always will be influenced by my experiences, my observations, and my life in general. As a rule, it is an ever-evolving thing, just like life, drawing from influences of all genres of music, depending on my mood and life's necessity. In the long run, however, my greatest musical influence will always be centered around Punk Rock (in it's various forms).I have just begun a new project-The Burdens. I'm forming it with my friend Dennis. Check us out-we should have some music posted soon!..This profile was edited with MySpace Profile Editor MySpace Profile Editor
