Animal Boy Productions is a new Underground concert promotion and booking company from Portland Oregon, started by folk involved in the Punk Rock, Garage, and Hardcore communities for 15+ years in one way or another... Though the company is new, we have booked shows, and promoted shows since 1995, though we kinda laid low the last few years with other pressing obligations, we continuted to help others with their shows when we could....
Our goal is threefold, 1. To try to create a tight nit community around our shows, a loyal audience who come, have fun and spread the word for our next show... 2. To have a Clean, Alcohol/Drug free show, that EVERYONE can have fun at. 3. To build a community of like minded individuals who want to do more than just be entertained by our concerts, but want to give back to the community at large, and the world. Our part in this will be to give at least a portion (if not ALL) of the net profit off EVERY show we do to a non profit charity.
We don't want to be just another promoter doing this for a buck, we want to give back, and Ultimately we want to be a catalist to the underground music community (we've been a part of for so many years and) we love to join us in Making the world (at least Portland) a better place, and to show people that the Punk Community is more than a destructive force, but can be a Positive Force for Change.
We're not here to promote a Political, Religious, or Social Agenda (though we have no problem with any of those, and accept bands from ALL walks of life)... But our goal is to keep it simple. To have fun and at the same time help out existing organizations that are doing good in our area, and hopefully some day beyond our area.
