1987. Thrash Metal is the new norm. Television, news, magazines and radio sell it to the kids, and the kids come running. The 'Big Four': Slayer, Metallica, Megadeth and Anthrax are gods but 5 years later it was all gone. But not to some. Up rose Nu-metal from the US while the Scandinavians raged with their melodic Death Metal, Norway shocked the world with Black Metal which set the region on fire in many ways, then Hardcore exerted its muscle. And now, a decade later, Thrash Metal is again respected and stated by many as their principle influence. It is Thrash Metal that is the dominating influence of the band NOTHING. Hailing from Melbourne Australia, formed in 2005, NOTHING consists of 3 dedicated players of varying musical backgrounds, amalgamating a dizzying amount of influences into one distinct colorful sound. Having completed recording of the "INVOLUTION" EP at Complex Studios Melbourne, which is produced by ROMAN KOESTER of THE RED SHORE, the EP features 5 songs totalling a lengthy 27 minutes. With comparisons to "Death, Carcass, Coroner "(Metal Mayhem) things are building in momentum for the band, as they have now completed their first National and International Tour in support of metal giants, AMON AMARTH. Now enjoying airplay in Australia and the United States, the band are preparing to enter the studio once again at Complex Studios to complete their much anticipated Full Length Debut.
