NE OBLIVISCARIS

Initially formed in 2003, Ne Obliviscaris (pronounced; Nay Ob-li-vis-kar-is) hit the live scene February, 2006 to widespread critical acclaim with many hailing their unique sound, intense live shows and extremely talented line-up (drummer Dan Presland won the Australian final of the Worlds Fastest Drummer Competition, crowning him as the Fastest Feet in Australia in 2006).
A 6 piece metal band consisting of violin, 2 guitars, bass, drums, clean and extreme vocals; Ne Obliviscaris hail from Melbourne, Australia, and include a vast array of influences within their sound from progressive to black, thrash, death and melodic metal, and even western art music, jazz and flamenco. Creating music of many extremes, and with compositions often exceeding ten minutes in length, Ne Obliviscaris is at times very technical and complex and at others simple and subtle, creating an extremely original brand of metal that defies normal categorisation.

"Habe ich so ein großartiges Demo jemals gehört? Nein, vielleicht bin ich auch noch zu jung dafür, aber auch ich höre mir sehr gerne mal Demobands an und keine, wirklich keine hat bisher annähernd die Klasse von NE OBLIVISCARIS erreicht. Um noch weiter auszuholen, habe ich ewig nicht mehr so was eigenständiges gehört, das einen auch noch so begeistert. Andererseits muss einem Bewusstsein sein, das diese Band wirklich Grenzen sprengt, was mich absolut nicht stört, aber es wird nicht alle Hörer glücklich stimmen. Mir egal, wer sich diese Demo nicht anhört und die Band unterstützt wo er nur kann hat eben Pech gehabt. Mein Demo des Jahres habe ich nun endgültig gefunden!!!"
