Woptime is a Streetcore band from Torino, rise from the ashes of the early Italian hardcore, when the music scene had a big break down they hit the streets like a thunder bringing back that worldwide famous brand of Torino Hardcore. The band, formed in 1999 by Paolo and Saverio (one of the first pro skaters in Italy, former member of various hc-punk-oi! bands, and involved in the underground scene since the early 80's), went thru many line-up changes, getting everytime stronger than ever. During seven years of non-stop gigging Italy they shared the stage with the likes of Sick of it All,Madball,Skarhead, Raw Power,Barcode,25 Ta Life,Die Cast,Breather Resist,Cursed,Agnostic Front,Cripple Bastards,Born From Pain,Death Before Dishonor ect... as well as Pop bands like Subsonica, Motel Connection, Africa Unite,proving that their live perfomances are highly effective at any music level! The band played so far more than 200 gigs and got 2 full lenght albums, an 18 tracks live album and various compilations appearances under the belt,and their sound is a unique brand of old school italian hardcore and a massive dose of new school NY HC blended with asskickin' Oi! influenced street rock.Woptime is a band that lives on its own reputation,no trends,no bullshit and a very loyal following of hardcore kids,punks,skins, rockers and underground freaks of any kind always attending at their shows! "Mi vida loca" is the title of their latest album,produced by Daniele Giordana (previously with Agnostic Front,Biohazard,Lady Luck) out now on Brutus Records. In febraury 2006 relized a 3 way split with Cripple Bastard and Skrugners.In april 2006,join the band at the bass Enrico,and then the band is ready to work on new stuff for a split recording with 25 ta Life.Recently the band split up but the members workin'for other projects,stay tuned!!
