The premier International Wine Festival In The Rocky Mountains has expanded to a Three-day international celebration of wine, cuisine and travel!
Join us in the Mile High City for the Fourth Annual Denver International Wine Festival. More than 450 wines will be presented by proprietors and wine makers from around the world! The DIWF will be held at the the University of Denver’s, newly constructed, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management (HRTM.
Now in its fourth year, the DIWF kicks off with a lively Chef’s Wine and Food Competition on the evening of Thursday November 1st, called "Taste of Elegance". The event showcases culinary creations expertly paired with Gold Medal-winning wines from the 2007 Denver International Wine Competition. Professional judges will award chefs with the "Most Creative" and "Best Chef of the 2008 DIWF" titles. While all attendees will vote for the "Peoples Choice Chef". A live and silent auction will benefit Gilda's Club of Denver.
Saturday November 1st brings the "Grand Tasting of International Wines and Food, where wines (from 19 countries) will be sipped and swirled. The DIWF VIP Lounge will be located in the HRTM foyer. Educational seminars will be conducted in the HRTM school's state-of-the-art presentation rooms and amphitheaters.
Six exclusive educational seminars(wine, cooking & spirits) will be offered including Jim Beam’s small batch bourbon collection seminar,presented by Fred Noe III, Great Grandson of Jim Beam. Attendees will receive a personalized bottle of Knob Creek Bourbon, signed by Fred Noe III.
Note: Seminar fees range from $10 to $35. A portion of the proceeds from the seminars will benefit the University of Denver, HRTM Scholarship Fund.

2008 DENVER INTERNATIONAL WINE FESTIVAL(DIWF) The premier International Wine & Food Festival in the Rocky Mountain region keeps getting better! Our 2008 venue is the University of Denver's newly constructed, School of Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management (HRTM), part of the Daniels College of Business.The school offers the ideal venue for enhancing ones knowledge of wine & food. In addition to tasting wines from around the globe, attendees may participate in one of our many optional seminars and guided tastings.
In 2007, our "Grand Tasting" showcased more than 450 wines from 19 countries and featured 15 of Colorado's top chefs in our "Taste of Elegance" competition. We plan to make the 2008 DIWF even more exciting!
For the second year in a row, the DIWF is the first "Green" wine festival in the USA! All empty bottles are quickly from the festival and are diverted from a Colorado landfill by the Green Glass Company of Wisconsin. The empty bottles will be transformed into beautiful glassware.

• Wednesday October 29, 2008, 6 to 9pm- John S Davies Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner & Fundraiser Auctions. Proceeds Benefiting Students of the HRTM School. Guided tasting, wine paired 5 course dinner hosted by a world renowned wine producer.
