My Interests

..

I'd like to meet:

Passionate people who are interested in not only "being" in the moment, but truly "experiencing" it--- sight, scent, taste, touch, sound and all the wonderful (and not so wonderful) sensations that come with it. I am not stimulated by pick-up lines and the "what do you do" question. The question I always inevitably ask a person: What is your true passion in this life? Aside from your career and the rat race pursuit of happiness, what are you truly passionate about?Oh, and I love to laugh and make people laugh so a quick tongue and somewhat thick skin are both a plus!

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, City of God, The Color Purple, The Butterfly Effect, The Crying Game, Romeo and Juliet (the first, last, and most in between), Dirty Dancing (oooh la la), Grease (I am a huge Travolta fan), Shrek and Shrek 2, Lion King, Dangerous Beauty (about a courtesan in 16th century Venice--- this movie is so, so sexy), Their Eyes Were Watching God, American Pie, Friday (1st), Spirited Away (anime of a young girl's spiritual journey that holds some very deep meanings/truths... a recent find thanks to a new friend), Matrix (entire trilogy), A Bronx Tale, Donnie Brasco, Scarface, You've Got Mail (hey... I am still a chick!), Dancehall Queen, any Oliver Samuels' film (Jamaican actor/comedian), The Lost Boys, The Goonies (love it still!)I also really like documentaries and history/nature programs... Oh and of course, Sex and the City and Curb Your Enthusiasm (when they were on) and every episode of Real Sex (love it!)

Television:

I rarely watch t.v. I am a hands-on person who enjoys poetry, soccer (the real football!), cooking (one of my biggest passions). I like to be anywhere where I can have a really good conversation about topics that are not discussed in every day social circles. I really, really enjoy meeting new people... When traveling, I ALWAYS talk the entire flight no matter who I am seated next to and have shared some really deep and intimate conversations with strangers that I've never spoken to again but who I will always remember

Books:

Pretty much everything... fiction, non-fiction, Gothic lit, erotic writings, poetry, spiritual and natural living/healing, children's books (I love really creative and bold illustrations and picturesque landscapes), diaries/memoirs, reference/resource material (I'm BIG on research), classics (I know... very broad but I've read many of them or at least the Cliff Notes!), mythology and folklore, and... testimonials (I'm very curious about people and what goes on in the lives of others)

Heroes:

The Most High, Bob Marley, Wonder Woman, Peter Pan (and Wendy), Dracula (so sexy)

Who is the Unruly Lioness, Sekhmet?

SEKHMET Sekhmet was the fierce lion-headed Goddess of healing and retribution, from ancient Egypt, who wore the solar globe surrounded by a uraeus (fire-spitting cobra) on her head. H...
