CEO of Dahn Dahlas Publishing (ASCAP)- Started Deejaying and rapping at the age of 12...Dahn Dahlas and a friend threw the first "block party" in their neighborhood, with turntables, concert speakers, and a generator.- Received all A's as a 7th grader- Became the first black to receive a letter in Golf at 2 different high schools...Lettered in 3 different sports (baseball, basketball, and golf)...Played Golf and Baseball in the same season, kind of like Deion Sanders...My father, Harry Jeter Sr., is in the National Black Golf Hall Of Fame- Started doing Spoken Word Poetry in 1992...Featured at several colleges in the South. Became a member of Melanin 2000(BeSharp, Kerry Brothers Jr., LuQuantumLeap, Dahn Dahlas, Boogie, Sekou, and Abyss), performed at the Nuyorican Poet's Cafe and the Lyricist Lounge first ever show. Melanin 2000 former member, Kerry "Krucial" Brothers Jr., went on to Co-Found Krucial Keys with Alicia Keys and the rest is history.- Became friends with and was taught "improvisation" from Grammy-winning jazz artist Roy Hargrove in 1993.- Was on the "street team" at Relativity Records in 1993...Promoted Common Sense, Fat Joe, and The Beatnuts very first albums respectively. Followed Naughty By Nature Tour and also Brand Nubian/Onyx/Positive K Tour.- Was featured in the Source year end of issue of 1995, was shown at Million Man March.- Daughter was born in 1995, named Melana Nija. Took a 4 year "hiatus".- Began pursuing career as a producer/artist in 1999, performing at fesitivals in his hometown and the Auburn Fest in the ATL.-Was selected in early 2003 to have music played on Japanese radio (Freewave 77.7 FM in Fukuoka), making "history" for artists from his part of NC as the first to be played overseas.- Dahn Dahlas has met or made acquaintances with Michael Jordan, Shaq O' Neal, Rosie Perez, Wesley Snipes, The late Red Auerbach of the Boston Celtics, Jermaine Dupree, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill, Tyson Beckford, The late Lisa Lopes of TLC, Redman & Rockwilder, Nas, Method Man, Laurence Fishbourne, Faith Evans, Buckshot Shorty of Boot Camp Click, Smif-N-Wesson/Cocoa Brovas, N'bushe Wright, Big Gipp from the Goodie Mob, DJ Alamo, Grand Puba, Lord Jamar, Sadat X, & Stud Doogie of Brand Nubian, Lyfe Jennings, Big Noyd from Queensbridge, Renee from Zanae, Treach from Naughty By Nature, Busta Rhymes, KRS-One, DJ Premier and Guru, Caron Wheeler, Mr. Cheeks, Dikembe Mutumbo, Eddie George, Nefertiti, Larry Blackmon Of Cameo, B-Real from Cypress Hill, Snoop Dogg, Biggie Smalls, P.
