About Me

TETRAPLEGIC is now DAWN OF RUIN, but it has no page yet, so here you can check out the latest recordings from rehearsals. The band started in 2003 with Shadow (guitars) and V. Hemiazygos (vocals) playing versions of Moonspell, DarkThrone and Burzum. Vena, Hanish (keyboards), Paulo (bass), João (guitar), Zé (guitar, bass solo in Killing Party), Ed (drums), Gisele DiamondFate (drums), Morte (guitar), Diogo (vocals) and Aarseth (guitar) passed by. And now it's Masters' time with the man himself on the vocals.
The unreleased demo 2004 "Death - Queen of the Graveyard" was recorded at Studio Sinal 26 under the name EKHIDNA, that changed because of the homonym from Oporto. The line-up for this recording was: Shadow - guitars; Vena Hemiazygos - bass, vocals, guitars (Sepultura...); Hanish - keyboard; Gisele DiamondFate - drums, vocals (Poço..., Killing Party). Hanish left for Opus Draconis and kept his project with Shadow called Obscvrii Lvnae (ask for their masterpiece "Ruína Granítica").
In 2005 there were already some recordings with Nazgul on the drums. He did 2 tracks on June 2005 (Ekhidna and Poço da Infâmia). Koja and his thunderbass Mutilator joined soon after.
The band's first song, that was re-written by Shadow, faces Mt.St.Helens' last eruption (the original Siege of the Living Mountains changed as the resemblance to pyroclastic flows - see http://www.answers.com/topic/1980-eruption-of-mount-st-helen s - was later noted); the second's on account of the dispute for Satan's Blood; the gate of Hell (Pit of Infamy) is a legitimate 12-countdown; Ekhidna is post mortem after her killing by Argos Panoptes - see http://www.answers.com/topic/echidna-mythology. Tomb of the Wicked is a version of a former song, recorded without lyrics/ with the 2 original guitar lines. It's about the triumph of "Good" and the thousand-year imprisonment of Satan. Killing Party and Ossário Negro are about afterkill arrangements. Magalhães is about his voyage around the globe; Tetraplegic God tells us of not being biased while choosing gods, otherwise the healthy ones will always have the benefit. And the superball " o bailarico" is yet to be finished.
So last but not least, some paralytic verses for you: 22,101/ nothing like home/ like a rock, my friend/ go straight where I'm going. So keep on checking for news and remember: "He is up there like a Roman statue! He will stand till Death hath made him marble!" (The Assignation).
