Jahn Carlini

Leader and founder of Great Master he was born in 1974 meeting heavy metal for the first time at 16 years old listening to Iron Maiden, Manowar, Bathory and Running Wild.
His sound comes out of these bands, the sound of Great Master very epic but in the same time hard, with melody but also with powerful chords-rides. After the first demo-tape the band split up due to different musical interests of the members.
After that he begins to arrange some old tracks keeping in his mind the idea to form again the once spilt up band, so he asks for the help of his friend and ex-drummer Paolo Pasqualini, of Marco Berton and Marco Bucciol, but after a series of divergences all the members are replaced and the new band was formed by Enrico Pezzile, Max Bastasi and by 2 new members: Daniele Vanin and Alessio Ghioldi.
Now it's the time of Rainfall a cover-band of Gamma Ray, Helloween, Iron Maiden, Stratovarius etc…. During this period a demo tape is recorded; nine covers in which the band shows all its technique.However this band ain't got long life too!!! So the band split up once again.
After this period Jahn decides to record a solo project under the name Great Master asking for help to some old friends so “Rising Storm” comes to life: a harder and ruder work than the former one, at half way between Iron Maiden and Running Wild. Edoardo Pezzile, Maurizio Gasparotti, Marco Vaona, Daniele Vanin and Max Bastasi on vocals collaborated in it.
After “Rising Storm” Jahn, wanting to share new experiences but keeping alive the “Master” project joins the rock band altaloma in which he plays guitar. Here, play on debut album "Confine Libert.." and on "Nel Mare Aperto".
Now is working with Great Master for their debut album Underworld.
