Sounds Like: ass kickin highspeed deathmetal
In the year 2004, Heiko Michel (Hi_Go, drums), Niko Klueber (Nik, bass) and Timo Adolph (Addi, guitar) founded a music project whose name and future was uncertain at the time. But it was certain that a band should be formed, a band that would create a hard and uncompromising sound, which was meant to stand out in todays diversified Metal territory. Everyone already brought in plenty of long standing band and stage experience from different other bands.
After some jam sessions, the first riffs were recorded, in order to build a good base for new song material. So that the guitar sound could be increased and varied, Tobias Hoeller (Tobi, guitar) came on board of the new project. Now the only thing missing was a suitable name and front man/singer (for this project). After some back and forth, there was only one name that matched perfectly with these brutal sounds:
STRAIGHT FROM HELL.
We then quickly found the voice that we required and searched for some time in the neighbouring rehearsal studio, where the band Rock Cock Rodeo practiced. This voice belongs to Albert Link (Al Cock, vocals) and after a few rehearsals with him it was agreed to include Albert in the band. STRAIGHT FROM HELL was complete and ready to shock the world.
The first gigs STRAIGHT FROM HELL played on the camping ground of the world famous WITH FULL FORCE festival near Leipzig so as to infect as many metalheads as possible with their sound. These gigs were received with enthusiasm and rewarded with lots of positive feedback, and that's why since then STRAIGHT FROM HELL can be seen but most notably heard there every year.
Now it was the time to go into Clubs and Halls as well to reach people there - one gig after the other followed. In the meantime STRAIGHT FROM HELL share their stage with a few very famous bands like for example DEADLOCK, MACHINE MADE GOD, TODAY FOREVER to let the crowds go crazy.
Currently, STRAIGHT FROM HELL are in preparations for their debut album which is expected to be released in Summer 2009.
