About Me

Thank you for visiting MyFAVV 2008!
November 2008 will be here before you know it, and the purpose of this page is to help MySpace users stay current on the candidates and issues that will shape the next election, in a non-partisan way.
As the last few elections have shown, it sometimes only takes a handful of votes to swing the outcome, but the difference will impact our lives for years to come. With MySpace, people (especially young people) now have a network to share ideas and information at our fingertips and a unique opportunity to make our voices heard that previous generations never could have dreamed of.
Politicians know this, and their campaigns have all set up MySpace profiles to appeal directly to you! Meet the candidates and their supporters in 'Top Friends,' then click on their profile to find out where they stand on the issues. You will find links to reputable sites where you can register to vote, view current poll numbers, and find helpful, balanced information. My friends are encouraged to use the comment box to express themselves, and send a message if you come across something informative and relevant you'd like to see added to the page.
We can make a difference! We have an unprecedented ability to share knowledge, and the stakes have never been higher. Casting a vote is the most basic freedom in our democracy, the freedom that citizens of other nations die for and that people we know are fighting to protect. A small percentage of MySpace users who exercise the right to make their voice heard, to have a say in their own future, to vote can have a profound impact on the direction of this country.
