Why You Should Join VFW Post 6602
1. Your foreign military service under hostile conditions entitled you to certain combat medals and is your down payment for membership in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America.
2. Eligible Veterans are not required to attend regular meetings. Your level of participation is set by you. As an active member, we can tell you that the pride that you experience because of the honorable performance of the VFW Post 6602 will be directly related to your contributions to its success.
3. A portion of your annual or life membership fees goes to support the strong and vocal voice the VFW has in Washington in order to support the benefits for Veterans and to support a strong, well paid, and well equipped military force.
4. The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America is the oldest Veterans organization in the United States and the largest “combat” Veterans organization.
5. You may choose several benefits arranged by the VFW National Headquarters for your personal use, to include hotel discounts, car rental discounts, various supplemental insurance programs, low cost internet service, Credit Union membership, etc.
6. You can socialize with and discuss your service experiences with fellow combat service Veterans.
7. Annual dues are only $29.00 per year with Life Memberships being based on your age with the option to transfer without cost to any other VFW Post should you move or desire to change for any reason.

Who are the Cooties? I heard you ask.
I will explain them to you, its no task.
They are Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Honor Degree; also the active workers of the VFW and all cooties are always there to answer the call.
Their little red hat was proudly won, in an outfit, based on humor and fun.
A dedication to which they will ever stick, to visit their buddies, the disabled and sick.
The Cooties practice their Moto with all their might to "keep'em smiling in Beds of White"
Now you know and clearly see, just why the Cotties are called "THE HONOR DEGREE"
