Hi My Name is Dan I joined the Army Reserves in 1987 The reserve unit was 367 Engineer Bn. C. Co.
Signed full time in 1989 went to Germany and my unit was already over in Desert Shield/Storm. I was there for 9 mos medivac'd out because of a broken wrist. Company was deactivated and moved to Georgia in 1991. Stayed there for 3 years with 13th CSB. Transferred to 608 ORD. Co. changed MOS to 12F in 1994 went to Korea for 1 year stationed at Camp Castle. Came home to Ft Benning Georgia then moved to Ft Riley Kansas in 1996 there for seven months and went to the field for the last time and was struck be lightning a First Lieutenant pronounced me DOA - but an E-3 said bull %$#! not Rutka and started CPR which saved my life. Was discharged and sent home. GOD BLESS OUR SERVICE MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE STILL SERVING.
