IAVA Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff talks about the stress soldiers face when deployed, and the problems they encounter when they return.
I am a Marine veteran who has returned to college to take up where I left off years ago. I am still an undergraduate who is studying in the field of Psychology. I have returned to help veterans who suffer from PTSD, because they are not forgotten. For those that are coming in from the cold, I want to help them if I can. I intend to provide resources and links for those who may not know that there is information out there or where to go. Family members who have members who suffer from PTSD are welcome.
There is a separate group that I have set up that is strictly for Veterans who do not wish to go outside of a veteran community. If you wish to join that please either IM me or send me an e-mail and I will add you to the group.
Any disruptive behavior that cannot be resolved will result in the member being asked to leave. If it cannot be resolved then the member will be deleted.
I am becoming increasing aware of the diverse culture that exists here on MySpace. The people who now grace my friends list with their presence do me honor for adding me. I was one of those who thought that My Space was populated simply by a younger generation. But I have found many a gifted and creative people, of all ages, it simply amazes me. And they bring out a part of me that few have seen, and that is a good thing. I just wanted to say thanks to those that have welcomed me, and here is to the future.
