About Me

Hello...I am an advocate for people's right, in particular, the best interest of children. Currently, I am a Foster & Adoption Resource Parent in the state of Maryland. I serve on several boards and legislative committees. I am the mother of three boys, age 2, 4 & 25, my gems in my crown. My oldest is a gifted artist working in the gaming business. I am very proud of him, and my two little ones are developing into something great!I enjoy cooking and feeding people, and currently feeding the people in my community weekly through our church outreach ministries. I write in several genres, and have a few things published. I enjoy sitting on the beach, all day when possible, watching the waves wash in, wash out, just me, my writing pad, pen, chair-in-the-bag and some nice music. I enjoy many thing, too much to share here...

Postive people who desire to rise above the negative in life...Doers and people who make things happen even if most say it can't be done...Overcomers, for I am an overcomer of much in my life...Good hearted, down to earth plain ordinary folks who enjoy life and all it has to offer.I just love meeting diverse people and my circle of friends reflect a rainbow of wonderful people from multiple cultures...I embrace diversity.

Music:

I love mostly all kinds of music except hard rock and nasty rap. I especially love Jazz, Latin, Country Western, R & B, and the Oldies... I enjoy my Praise & Worship music, my Gospel and Christian music... I also like listening to Pacifica Radio, 89.3 FM

Movies:

Oh geeeesh, I am a little behind on the movies. I'll catch them on cable. OOPs, I should say I wanna see Happy Feet and not for the kids - for me (hehehe)"Fallen" with Denzel Washington"Eve's Bayou"Julie Dash's "Daughter of the Dust.""Blade""Seven" loved the scene with Morgan Freeman pitted against Brad Pitt as they matched swits in solving their case, the young against the old..."Kiss the Girls" another Morgan Freeman..."The Untouchables" with Kevin Costner..."Field of Dreams, Bull Durham"...I like the Old Westerns, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, etc., the Old Guys my Dad use to take us to the drive-in to see...I love good horror movies and movies with suspense and a good twist to them...

Television:

I am a cable news junky, geeeesh. I love a good National Geographic show, and whatever catches my eye. BUT please don't ask me about the Soaps -- too much drama for me.

Books:

Reading Dr. Cindy Trimm's Rules of Engagement series, and looking forward to reading Leo Tolstoy's The Kingdom of God is Within You. My night stand looks like a forgotten shelved section buried outof sight of viewers (lolol)

Heroes:

Hmmm, not sure about heroes, perhaps admired people who are an inspiration in my life.
