About Me

Emanuele was born in Cagliari, and remains faithful to his cultural and musical origins. Sardinia music, by tradition, has been heavily influenced by talented masters that have provided the island and its people with an array of international music over the years. At the age of seven, Emanuele began studying classical percussions and drums. From fourteen, he had already seen, heard and been influenced by many different musical experiences with a variety of groups. At eighteen, Emanuele moved to Rome, Italy, and studied with the Cuban drum player Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez. This was a unique opportunity to closely examine and explore the language of Latin music, through a long period of private clinics with the Latin percussion gurus, Paulo La Rosa And Roberto Evangelisti. In the same period Emanuele attend a very important classes with Giorgio Angelini, 1st percussion player of “Santa Cecilia classic orchetra” of conservatory music in Rome with whom he improved the classical studies. In 1997, Emanuele moved to America to study with the great Gary Chaffee. Emanuele is active on both the jazz scene, with Javier Girotto, Joey Garrison, Ruben Chaviano, Dario Deidda, Ares Tavolazzi, Fabio Zeppetella, Paolo Recchia,Ron Seguin, John Benitez, Marco Siniscalco, Daniele Bonaviri, Daniele Tittarelli, Lutte Berg, Giovanni Imparato, Luca Pirozzi, Aldo Bassi, Francesco Puglisi, Julian Oliver Mazzariello, Eric Daniel, Manuel Orza, Roberto Evangelisti, Tommy Emmanuel, Walter Paiola, Elvio Ghigliordini, Gianni Savelli, Tony Germani, Alexander Abreu, Carlos Perez, Raul Scebba, Josè Molina, Natalio Mangalavite, Amik Guerra, Jim Porto, Claudio Corvini, Mario Corvini, Fontaine Barnet, Lorenzo Feliciati, Giovanni Amato, Manantiales Quintet, Juan Carlos Albelo, Roger Sabal Lecco, Joel Dominguez, Ivan “Melon” Gonzales, Samuel Formel, Lino Perez Wilson, Roy Paci, Paolo Innarella, Marco Tamburini, Paolo Di Sabatino, Paulo La Rosa, Puente Latino quartet, Carlos Sarmiento, Ronald Moran, Alfonso Deidda, Tony Esposito, Aidan Zammit, Joe Amoruso, Michele Ascolese, Sasà Flauto, Paolo Vivaldi, Lenine, Manolin “el medico della salsa”, Marco Rinalduzzi, Mariana de Moraes, Teresa De Sio, Bungaro, Federico Salvatore , Alessandro Haber and many others. Emanuele is a successful teacher,coach and clinician in Italy's most prestigious music schools and music stores.
