Gory

I am too cool to be your MySpace friend.

About Me

Simply put I'm a huge movie fan which would probably explain why I'm a filmmaker. I'm a fairly easy going guy. Some think I'm funny and outgoing. Others think I'm quiet and shy. They're both right. Depending on the situation I'm in I can be the life of the party or hiding in the corner. Right now my life is centered around getting my career going so everything does take second place. I'm in development on a film I will be making in 2007 so I don't have a lot of time. I work as an editor and edit promotional videos, training videos, commercials, etc. Most of my money is going into my film so if you're a girl looking for a guy to spend all of his money on you then by all means look elsewhere. In the little time I have free I (believe it or not) watch movies. I know ... what a shock. I'll also squeeze in a game or two (I am a guy so yes I play video games) and I try to get out once and awhile. Mainly most of what I do revolves around my film whether I'm working on the script, doing camera tests, storyboarding major scenes, or even trying to write some music.

My Interests

Movies, movies, and ... did I say movies?

I'd like to meet:

People of all walks of life.

Music:

All kinds of music but being a huge film fanatic I love film scores. A few favorite composers include Danny Elfman, John Williams, James Horner, Jerry Goldsmith, Bernard Herrmann, John Carpenter ... to name but a few. As far as groups go, some favorites are U2, Metallica, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, Rob Zombie, Disturbed. I grew up in the 80's so I do have a soft spot for 80's music.

Movies:

There are plenty of favorite movies to name (and if I did I'd be here all night writing them). But instead I'll list some of my favorite directors to give you an idea: Dario Argento (Suspiria), James Cameron (The Terminator), John Carpenter (Halloween), Alfred Hitchcock (Rear Window), Peter Jackson (The Lord of the Rings), Akira Kurosawa (Seven Samurai), George Lucas (Star Wars), Michael Mann (Heat), Robert Rodriguez (El Mariachi), George A. Romero (Dawn of the Dead), Martin Scorsese (Taxi Driver), Kevin Smith (Clerks), Steven Spielberg (Jaws), John Woo (The Killer). There are more but I better stop here.

Television:

The Simpsons, South Park, Family Guy, My Name Is Earl, The Office, The O'Reilly Factor, 24, Chappelle's Show, The Sopranos (when it's on every 5 years) ... plus some older shows like Married With Children, Three's Company, Beavis and Butthead, The Muppet Show ... a bunch of others too.

Books:

I'm not a big book reader. I know that's bad but I'm a movie guy. Although I loved 'Make Love The Bruce Campbell Way' and 'Culture Warrior'. I do read a few magazines like Entertainment Weekly, Home Theater (I'm a home theatre geek), and Fangoria.

Heroes:

New Addition To The Family

It finally happened. I broke down and got me an XBox 360. I was putting it off for as long as I could. I know it was just a matter of time. Upon hearing that the first shipment of them last year was b...

Flashback Weekend Part II *Updated

I'll have to keep this short as I am sick as a dog. I haven't been sick like this in years so I feel like I'm dying. Ok, not dying but it sucks. I'll come back and add or change the descriptions. In t...

Flashback Weekend Part 1

This will be the first entry on my first outting to Flashback Weekend. I will be skipping the play by play I did with Fango and just skip right to it and post some pictures. First up there is som...

Miami Vice

I'll keep this short and sweet. Mainly since Lana already did a better job of reviewing the film. I can completely understand why a lot of people won't like this movie. It's very different especially ...

I Stand Alone On This One

I know I stand alone on this, and judging from early reviews I may in fact be the only one, but I am really looking forward to the new Miami Vice movie. I think a lot of people are dismissing it for a...

My Name On The Big Screen

Well, I can't say it was the way I wanted it to happen but still pretty cool. I would hope the first time I'd see my name on the big screen at a multiplex it would be preceded by the title "written an...

Mini Silent Hill Review

I saw it today and I have mixed feelings on it. I think it's a weird trippy kind of film that begs the viewer not to just sit there. You have to pay attention and fill in the blanks and I mean that in...

Script Rewrites

I've been doing some major rewrites on my script and I hate to sound a bit pompous but I am pretty amazed by it. When this whole thing first started almost three years ago (my God has it been that lon...
