About Me

Some places you can find me:
Some stuff I like:
Horror.
Reading: books, fiction or nonfiction, magazines, comics, cereal boxes, anything.
The strange, supernatural or occult.
Video games.
Movies and going to the movies.
Cycling around the city.
Taking in strays.
Not sleeping and then sleeping for long periods of time when I finally do.
Celebrity porn.
Science.
Dishing out stupid rants on things I hate.
Not doing anything.
Cooking things I wanna eat.
Halloween.
Christmas, too.
Watching TV.
Wasting money.
Vodka.
Trident gum.
Hearing people's stories.
Non-celebrity porn.
Little girls, this seems to say,
Never stop upon your way,
Never trust a stranger-friend;
No one knows how it will end.
As you're pretty so be wise;
Wolves may lurk in every guise.
Handsome they may be, and kind,
Gay, and charming - never mind!
Now, as then, ‘tis simple truth
Sweetest tongue has sharpest tooth!

I'd like to meet:

Other carnivores and potential victims of my carnivorous, lunar activities.

Music:

I like a little of everything.Rancid, Garbage, Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, John Carpenter, Social Distortion, Keane, Rise Against, Bad Religion, Puffy Ami Yumi, Muse, Mariah Carey, The Righteous Brothers, Billy Joel, Pink, Forced Entry, Three Days Grace, John Williams, Everclear, Sublime, Geto Boys, Cypress Hill, Beastie Boys, Christina Aguilera, Alan Jackson, Thriller era Michael Jackson, Randy Travis, Kelly Clarkson, The Cramps, Violent Femmes.Pop, punk, country, rock, rap, reggae, whatever. A little of this, a little of that. I like what I like. Too much to list.

Movies:

I like movies. All genres. My favorites, however, are those that touch on the horrible or the fantastic. Mostly the horrible though. With extra love for the carnivorous dead. Return of the Living Dead, Romero's Dead films, the Evil Dead series, Shaun of the Dead, Zombie, anything with a zombie in it with the exception of House of the Dead. I love werewolves, too. The Holwing, An American Werewolf in London, Dog Soldiers, Ginger Snaps I'll watch anything with a werewolf in it. I think John Carpenter is a genius. I like the films of Sam Raimi and Christopher Nolan. I like Cameron Crowe's and Kevin Smith's movies. I love the Lord of the Rings series and Peter Jackson's other movies. 80's teen movies like The Breakfast Club, and Pretty in Pink rule. Almost Famous is one of my favorite movies. Super hero flicks are cool. Star Wars and Harry Potter are great, too. I like Moulin Rouge and Titanic (I am such a pansy. I'm embarassed of myself.) A few other movies I like: The Good, The Bad and The Ugly, Black Hawk Down, Gladiator (anything by Ridley Scott really), slasher pics like the Friday, Scream and Nightmare series, Snatch, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Highlander, Bryan Singer's movies, Texas Chainsaw series, The Hills Have Eyes, Last House on the Left (a few other Craven movies are cool, too), Pumkinhead, C.H.U.D., High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank, A Clockwork Orange, Unforgiven, The Wild Bunch, Jackie Chan flicks, Master of the Flying Guilotine, Enter the Dragon, Near Dark, The Hitcher, Robocop, The Alien series. I like movies. Lots more than I could ever list.

Television:

My favorite show of all time: Buffy. Shows I currently watch: Heroes, Masters of Horror, 24, Prison Break, Lost, most of the Adult Swim comedy line up, Numbers, Degrassi (What? I like teen dramas, ok?), Supernatural, Family Guy, My Name is Earl. There's more that I just can't remember. Shows from the past that I like: Buffy, Angel, Firefly (gotta love that Whedon guy), Twilight Zone, Monsters, Tales From the Darkside, Taxi, Radio Free Roscoe, My So Called Life and Dawson's Creek (I already mentioned my love of teen dramas), X-Files, Surface, Full Metal Alchemist, Threshhold, Deadwood, Invasion, Green Acres, Gilligan's Island, Kolchak (original), The O.C., Carnivale... This list could go on and on.

Books:

Stephen King, Ramsey Campell, Tom Piccirilli, J.R.R. Tolkien, Peter Straub, H.P. Lovecraft, Jack Ketchem, Terry Goodkind, Clive Barker, Greg Keyes. Anything that comes close to horror or fantasy. I like anthologies and short stories just as much, if not more than, novels. I read a lot of short fiction in magazines like Horror Garage, Weird Tales and Cemetery Dance. Some Favorites are: Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, Book of the Dead and Still Dead: Book of the Dead 2 with Skipp and Spector as editors, The Talisman and Black House by King and Straub and Greg Keyes' Age of Unreason series (How can you not love a beautifully written, fantasy, alternate history that features Ben Franklin hanging out with Voltaire and Blackbeard the pirate and fighting for the American colonies with alchemy?). I like reading non-fiction books about the dark mysteries of the world, too. Bermuda Triangle, ghosts and hauntings, Oak Island, bigfoot and things of that nature. I gots me some of those Time/Life books, y'know? I'm a big comic book reader, as well. A Marvel zombie through and through, I've been buying everything they put out (excluding reprints and some of the just-for-kids stuff) since the early '90s and I've been reading them since the early '80s thanks to my older brothers. I love Preacher, The Walking Dead, Fables, Powers, 100 Bullets, Hitman. I read a lot of magazines, too. Fortean Times, Wizard, video game mags, movie mags, Maxim, Playboy, Rue Morgue (my favorite), science journals, cooking mags, Fangoria. I have access to thousands of different magazines where I work, so I read, pretty much, anything that has an article that appeals to me.
