The Fate of all Mankind, I Fear...is in the Hands of Fools (King Crimson)

About Me

This is a video of my husband Robert's group, "Historia". They are food historians, and experimental archaeologists, who give presentations in the Tudor Kitchens at Hampton Court Palace on holidays and select weekends throughout the year. This time-lapse video is the culmination of their day; presenting and eating the Tudor dishes that they've prepared all day, and answering questions from visitors. Robert is the chap in black, setting the table, and with his back to the camera for most of the time. For more information on their project, please visit www.tudorcook.blogspot.com

My Interests

History, Archaeology, Music, Needlework (Quilting, Sewing, Crochet), Reading.

I'd like to meet:

Barack Obama, so I can say to him," I hope that I am shaking the hand of the next President of the United States".

Music:

John Young, JUMP, Dave Kilminster, John Wetton, Gowan, Kitaro, Hall & Oates (these last 4 ones since waaay back in the 70's/80's) Pallas, Fragile, most Progressive music, and of course alot of the 80's stuff. I also love Classical music, and the "Soul Music" from the 60's and 70's (O'Jays, Aretha, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, James Brown - Now THEY knew how to do it!!) I've recently discovered the joys of YouTube...videos on demand (!!!!), and I have been able to find every single obscure 80's video I've searched for!!! I don't know if that's good....or bad :-)

Movies:

I love all the old black-and-white horror/sci-fi movies ("Frankenstein", "Dracula", "The Tingler", etc.)...and all of Mel Brooks' films (he's a genius!). I love to watch independent movies, movies that make you think, and that are entertaining, and that I can say as the credits roll by, "Now that was time well spent!". Two Favorites that come to mind are "Tampopo", and "Nina's Heavenly Delights".

Television:

Not much of a viewer of American TV, however, when I'm over in the UK I enjoy watching Time Team, Codex, and history-related stuff. My hubby has appeared in a few historic shows ("Tales from the Palaces", and he portrayed Robert Hook in the documentary about him a year or so ago).

Books:

Two Words.....Terry Pratchett....'Nuff Said!!!

My Blog

I don't usually post, and consequently, this is my first; however, I just read this article on the msn homepage, and was so apalled, that I had to comment. The link is below... http://www.msnbc.m...
