Barack Obama, so I can say to him," I hope that I am shaking the hand of the next President of the United States".
John Young, JUMP, Dave Kilminster, John Wetton, Gowan, Kitaro, Hall & Oates (these last 4 ones since waaay back in the 70's/80's) Pallas, Fragile, most Progressive music, and of course alot of the 80's stuff. I also love Classical music, and the "Soul Music" from the 60's and 70's (O'Jays, Aretha, Stevie Wonder, Temptations, James Brown - Now THEY knew how to do it!!)
I've recently discovered the joys of YouTube...videos on demand (!!!!), and I have been able to find every single obscure 80's video I've searched for!!! I don't know if that's good....or bad :-)
I love all the old black-and-white horror/sci-fi movies ("Frankenstein", "Dracula", "The Tingler", etc.)...and all of Mel Brooks' films (he's a genius!). I love to watch independent movies, movies that make you think, and that are entertaining, and that I can say as the credits roll by, "Now that was time well spent!". Two Favorites that come to mind are "Tampopo", and "Nina's Heavenly Delights".
Not much of a viewer of American TV, however, when I'm over in the UK I enjoy watching Time Team, Codex, and history-related stuff. My hubby has appeared in a few historic shows ("Tales from the Palaces", and he portrayed Robert Hook in the documentary about him a year or so ago).
Two Words.....Terry Pratchett....'Nuff Said!!!
