About Me

This nice site works out my age for me so I can no longer believe I'm still sweet sixteen! Ah well, another dream is broken.
I go to work to earn money so I can do things I enjoy. These days I work away from home so I do less of the latter than I used to which is a shame. At least I get to travel a bit with (thankfully not just to and from) work so it isn't quite all work and no fun.
The things I enjoy? Hmm, I used to go to watch a lot of bands but that dropped drastically about two years ago (see above). While there I enjoyed taking photos some of which I've used in my rather out-of-date website RockReviews.co.uk . Some people still visit it in the hope I may one day finish some of the reviews I've been promising for years. Don't hold your breath.
If my photos are you interest in checking in here then get in touch and I'll point you towards other online sources...
Another website I created and ran (it started as a couple of pages on the above site) has not had its URL renewed so there isn't much point in mentioning it here. At some point my reviews may transfer back to Rock Reviews.
Before both of those I created the first website for a local Sci-Fi club I was a member of, Genesis Sci-Fi . I've not been a member for a few years now but some of my photos and text were still used in the new website (or they would be if the webmaster sorts out the links). If you're particularly unlucky you'll find some photos of me in other-worldly clothing. Oh dear, how sad.
But why join a Sci-Fi club? Well, as a wee lad I greatly enjoyed the Jon Pertwee and Tom Baker eras of Doctor Who plus original Star Trek. Blake's Seven later became another favourite. Those were the good old days when Sci Fi wasn't all over TV and far too readily available. Plain MySpace Layouts by Iron Spider

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

I tend to believe you should not meet your heroes as they will possibly not be able to live up to your high expectations.I do like to meet people with similar interests though as at least I'll be able to join in a conversation with them.

My Blog

One wet summers day 22 years ago

... I went to stand in a muddy field to see a band I thought would never reform.  22 years on Deep Purple still trundle onwards but my love of them has faded somewhat. Read of my experience of th...

Take one, the reason for being here?

OK, so I've noted that I take the odd photo should I happen to be at a gig. That happening is nowhere near as common as it used to be four years ago but the camera shutter is still given some exercise...
