..*****************www.missblackarizona2007.com************* * Come out to support! ***********************************************************H ey hey hey!!! Greetings from Arizona! I'm your Miss Black Arizona USA 2007, Ada Dieke and I'm grateful to have represented AZ in the national Miss Black USA pageant in the Gambia, West Africa this past June 1, 2007!I've been so thankful for the opportunity to represent my state and bring awareness to issues affecting the minority especially the Black community. Being in the health field allows me room to look at ways that I can help improve the WELL BEING of our youth. One of the ways I plan to do that is with my platform:Project R. E. V. I. V. A. L. (Restoring Ego and Virtue In Visions of African Legacy): Celebrating the Beauty of African Diaspora through Media, Music, Dance, and Literature. So with my platform, I hope to promote more positive images of people of African descent. There's more to share about my platform but I don't want to talk your ear off.Visit www.missblackarizona2007.com for more info about me, my platform, and sponsorship info.AND please be sure to check out the National website at www.missblackusa.org !!!! :)Thanks for all your support!!! I really appreciate it!My page is still under construction, but I'll be back with more photos, events, and thoughts on my journey to Africa for the FIRST time!!!! Pic taken by Nnamdi Solomon:I am rocking a mohawk with my twisties (my two-strand twists were done by Mildred Anderson in Tucson) thanks to ALTA studios from Atlanta in the pic below:Picture Below taken by Jerris Madison (and I'm rocking the mohawk I might add, LOL)

My Interests

..Okay---this clip below shows two great entertainers of African descent who have made bounds of contributions to the music/dance/and overall entertainment industry---once again, this falls into my platform Project REVIVAL! Let's celebrate their accomplishments. I know I definitely would have loved to be at the BET Awards when this moment happened. Do you know that I would have just passed out from screaming? I can just imagine it...lol

I'd like to meet:

All the other delegates that I haven't met, of course! The Red Team again ;) People in the Gambia and my close Nigerian relatives. Oprah. Barack Obama. Queen Latifah. Maxwell. Michael Jackson. Janet Jackson. Other people in the world who are interested in making change happen. Let's Do It. www.missblackarizona2007.com******************************** *************************** I'm also interested in bringing more cultural events to Tucson...I affectionately call it the Tuc-town movement...it's not a club...it's a movement! LOLPicture below taken by Nnamdi Solomon (www.nnamdisolomon.com)

Music:

I really love music. Seriously. I love it all. I really admire drummers and percussionists (like my girl Sheila E) I really like funk music, hip hop, world music, R & B, neo-soul...and new stuff! more to come soon

Movies:

I definitely want to have a hand in producing films and or shows that show people of African descent in a more positive light. Below is the film by a wonderful young girl Kiri Davis "A Girl Like Me." Definitely a need for a Project R.E.V.I.V.A.L. after seeing this:

Heroes:

My mommy, daddy, and immediate family...also those who show grace in the face of fire....(that's deep :)
