Petals for Pax

I am here for Friends

About Me

My name is Carrie and I am a grieving mother reaching out to help others on the journey through grief as well. I hold this space to honor the memory of my son Pax as well as to remember all of our loved ones who have passed.

The vision for Petals for Pax is to form a nonprofit organization that brings comfort to those who are grieving by sending a lovely sympathy card along with a packet of flower seeds that the bereaved can plant in honor and rememberance of their loved one(s). The idea is that the flowers that bloom from the seeds will be a beautiful and joyful memorial of the dearly departed. These seed packets and cards are sent to those who are grieving upon request and completely free of charge. If you know someone who is grieving and would like us to send a card and seed packet, please visit our website www.petalsforpax.org to view the card and fill out our request form.

The idea of Petals for Pax came about as my husband and I were seeking coping mechanisms and healing tools for dealing with our overwhelming grief after our son Pax was stillborn in October of 2005. We were so blessed to have so much support from our friends and family that we knew we needed to give back in order to continue healing.

Why flowers? As an herbalist and avid plant lover, it seemed a natural choice. I use plants for healing on a daily basis, and the beauty of flowers is healing in itself. Flowers have a universal appeal, and their vibrant blooms inspire and convey joy, peace, tranquility, hope, remembrance, thanks, celebration and love. We give flowers to people we care about in order to bring them happiness, and we hope to bring peace, love, joy and beauty to the lives of others through Petals for Pax.

My Interests

Keeping a candle burning for all of our loved ones who have passed on and for everyone who needs some light to shine on them...

If you would like your loved one to be memorialized in my photo album Forever Remembered and included in the slideshow, please send me a picture and I would be honored to include them!

Missing my 4 angel babies:

I'd like to meet:

Almost everyone at some point knows someone who is grieving and in need of some comfort and hope. We know how difficult the journey through grief is and how even a small gesture can bring some light into an otherwise often dark and difficult time. This is what we hope to accomplish through Petals for Pax. If you know someone who could benefit from the receipt of a sympathy card, please visit our website to send one: www.petalsforpax.org

Also, please tell others about us, so that we may have the opportunity to reach as many people in need as possible. Grief and mourning are universal, but fortunately so are compassion, support, comfort and hope.

Wishing you Peace and Light....
~Carrie
