JOHnNY GRAY

"Ray of Hope" is a Johnny Gray composition that has been donated to the Ray of Hope Charity CD calling for world peace sponsored by Songweavers.com. The lyrics were written and dedicated by Israel's President Shimon Peres who is also a Noble Peace Prize recipient. The song's associated picture is a rendering of Julia Kretsch's (our friend and co-collaborator from Romania) painting donated as part of the CD cover. John Brockman performs on the keyboard and Jim Stone is on lead guitar while Johnny (Penn) Gray wrote the tune, plays rhythm guitar and performs the vocals. "All in Your Eyes", is being released by Quickstar Productions and will be available for sale on Chill Out - East Coast Edition V16 in the fall featuring the lead guitar of Gary Hicks. "Momma Died" was recorded with Gary at lunch time - this version has special significance following the loss of Johnny's mother. "Inside of Me" was one of Johnny's first songs, written in his twenties, but recorded for the first time with Gary's lead work in 2006. "Looking Back" was from the Tribulations CD recorded in one take (this one is just Johnny)...about a past relationship that Johnny says "he still can't shake to this day"...he is still looking back. And finally, it is early but we wanted to post a holiday song called "Christmas Cheer" from the Almost Home CD. Percussion, effects and arrangements for "All in Your Eyes" and "Chistmas Cheer" are done by Chuk.
