DJ ALLBURY
Allbury is just my dj name not my real name, it all started when i got my first set of decks in 1998 and havent looked back since. My first booking was for Club Sidewinder in 2001 at the Sanctuary (R.I.P.) in Milton Keynes djing B2B with a dj friend Roy Faulkner playing UK Garage, we then had few more bookings with Sidewinder (Thanks to Lambert & DJ Principal) then Roy switched genres and got more into the house/progressive/trance music djing. i got more into mixing garage due to living within the london area even though i like house music etc. then tagged up with DJ Stirling doing B2B sets then when started listening to Rinse Fm, he entered his demo followed by me and low and behold we got our first stint in Radio doing graveyard slot 0300-0500hrs Saturday mornings, we held that out until our taste in music envolved into other genres, Stirling was already getting into the early stages of sublow / grime when i was still in the vocal / 4x4 uk garage side of things then got into Sublow & Grime also, then he got his own show Saturday daytimes with me holding up the graveyard shift then i got to move up by two hours 0100-0300hrs when clubbers were coming out, i held that time but switched days to Mon Nite / Tuesday morning even though overs the years i did cover shows for near enough every time slot going on the station, then i had Saturday Afternoon 1300-1500hrs playing 50/50 show of Part UK Garage / Part Grime then as im a music lover i got my chance to have my own four hour show in which now i can play various new dance music.
All in between then i have played at various clubs / bars around East London, Essex & Herts venues mainly oldskool garage / club classics & Funky/Electro house sets.
