I like to refresh others by telling them something funny to start or liven up the day. A sense of humor is something that keeps my heart light and makes me joyful. I just love to help people exercise their facial lines through the gift of laughter. Telling my jokes... on the m-i-c-, or to strangers, or creditors that call me on a Sunday. Now why would you call me as I am stretching out my arm out just as I'm about to do a "Peace Be With You" to the nice lady ten feet away?!" :0
I can't get enough of love because I, (that's what they keep telling me), got a "BIG ole' heart..." I've been told that I have a BIG ole' heart...shaped "poo-wet..." That's "tagalog", the native language for the Philippines... well... for...
At precedence, I truly love the gift of the arts, (cannot live without it), my great level of respect and love for stand-up comedy & fellow artists doing their thing, my family back in my hometown, my roots, (that will always be a part of me), advocating humanitarian efforts to reach out to various populations, (on a global and community scale), being true to the values of my heart, educating others, R&B, Hip-Hop at its best, and being down and loyal to my peeps. I LOVE bringing out the very best in others, especially my family and my friends.
At heart, I am pretty idealistic, but I manage to keep things authentic and real. That said, I'm a hopeful romantic who believes in the greatest potentials of what I believe in. I view the world with the lens of passionate eyes, often discovering the grand possibilities of life, expanding the history of comedy, psychology and traditions of acting, the beauty of being human and unconditional love and laughter and just staying very grounded and disciplined while keeping all of the dreams GOD planted in my heart, alive and from within. I think of each and every obstacle as opportunities, and I appreciate all the struggles. I remain confident in my ability to endure and keep what is pure...Each and every struggle helped me blossom and grow and grow inside, because Lord knows I wasn't going to grow any taller...
I am determined to always stay faithful and keep GOD as Number 1. Keep God first and the rest will follow, as you follow your heart. GOD as numbero uno in my heart and R2-D2 as my number 1 friend... I couldn't imagine living my life any other way... I just love making the world laugh...even at my own expense. My mission in life is to just always be me, myself and Y and to share my light from within so that I can be instrumental to brighten other people's lives so that I can help others, help others...
If you are wondering how to say my name, it's "Yen-er-ma". I have various nicknames... to name a few... Nermalicious, Nerma-Nator, Yer, De La Soul, Nermy Nerms, Tiny Tunes, Yo-Momma... My friends in comedy, call me "Lil'Bit..." and my closest friends call me "Nerms"...
No matter where I go in life I will always love my family...They are close to my heart and they keep my heart warm even though they are far away...Seattle, where it rains and pours...
I remember thinking, what it would be like to live in Southern California? Perhaps it's because, "It Never Rains In Southern California." They tell me...That was back in the day, when I was a kid, (Minnie Mouse)... At the start of the millenium, I wondered no more...
