The first „Dub The Club Party“ in December 2005 took place in a former brothel on the Große Freiheit in Hamburg´s famous red-light district St. Pauli.The original event was thought of as a more or less private Live-DUB-JAM-Session for friends wherein guest musicians and singers were welcome to participate. Thanks to the great response to this legendary evening and the extremely positive feedback-from both artists and guests- it was decided to organise this party concept regularly.The overwhelming feedback also coming from the diverse internet forums made clear that the time for such an event has come.In order to fulfill the space and sound requirements for the up to 9 musicians plus diverse DJ´s , we choose a venue that offers everyone a very relaxing and informal atmosphere, making it therefore very different from other “typical†concert venues-there is no stage so the musicians mingle with the audience.From now on we will jiggle the walls of the “Fundbureau†in Hamburg!The 3-4 Live Sessions per evening performed by the “Dagobert Dub†band (most of these musicians belong to the Sam Ragga Band) last up to 50 minutes. For another 50 minutes Sound Systems and Selektas take turns with the musicians who then again take up the last played Riddim.Guest musicians from past events have now formed a sort of core group. But other musicians like Seanie T from the UK (known for his recordings with Sam Ragga Band and Roots Manuva), Emmanuel from “Dub Division†or Jahrôme, the triumphant newcomer, who already thrilled the audience at former events, contribute to the variety of the evening.
