what is COMFY DUB? a state of mind, if you ask the compiler... but in general, the term describes dub influenced leftfield music (of many sorts and styles) to make you feel comfy. simple as that.
so this time around, COMFY DUB is a brandnew, dubbed out cd compilation series selected and mixed by george solar .
the first COMFY DUB volume, including 14 mellow now dubz from 12 countries, was released on may 28, 2007 (germany) and june 25, 2007 (rest of the world) thru tricorn music and distributed worldwide by m connexion .

the tracks you hear on the player are only some of the compilation highlights and will also be available on a strictly limited, promotional 7" vinyl record - the myspace community is first to check out this particular probe of COMFY DUB. the "title track", by the way, was co-crafted by cologne based producer levthand, featuring the angelic voice of washington based poetry angel JEN . the second track also is a levthand song, dubbed by solar moon .

dj / producer / remixer george solar from cologne / germany explores the infinite variety of downtempo soundscapes since the early nineties. as an activist member of leftfield electronica projects like SOLAR MOON , CHIN CHILLAZ and RUBBASOL , george co-wrote and co-produced a string of influential albums and 12inches as well as nearly 100 contributions to high profile compilation series like ultra chill, space night, moonray lounge and blue bar to name a few. throughout the years, mr. solar worked with and for dons like german electronica pioneer KLAUS SCHULZE , dub popster WALDECK from vienna or global beat legends DIE DISSIDENTEN and ORIENT EXPRESSIONS.
with roundabout 100 dj gigs a year – from VIP lounges, sports car presentations and yoga sessions, to residencies at e.g. cologne’s cozy chill out oasis dhoop garden @ underground – as well as by listening to a few hundred new records every month, george solar keeps an ear to the street at any time to keep himself being able to make the world slow down at least just that tiny little bit….
