Carter’s life work has been dedicated to ministering to those poor in spirit, needing deliverance from captivity and oppressed by the weight of the world. With the call to open the eyes of those blind to the grace and mercy found in Christ Jesus, Pastor Carter moved from the traditional to the exceptional. Upon his installment as pastor, the membership was approximately 300. His down to earth “keeping it real approach, and his anointed oratorical style, stimulates the intellect of people on all levels of life and it is evident by the increase of membership to well over 2500. Siloam Church International under the vision of Pastor Jonathon Carter aims to meet the needs of the “last days†generation thirsting for knowledge and a closer walk with God. Being raised in Valley, Alabama by his grandparents it was by Divine appointment that he followed in the footsteps of his grandfather, the late Pastor Brady C. Carter Jr; where he received his initial spiritual training and guidance. Therefore it was no surprise when at the tender age of 15, Pastor Carter found himself being called into the ministry and assuming his first pastorate at age of seventeen to be “about the Father’s business.†Pastor Carter holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology and Master of Arts degree in Divinity, further honing his knowledge and understanding of God’s Holy Word. Pastor Carter was also awarded an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Saint Thomas Christian College.Pastor Carter’s powerful soul-changing ministry is based on a three principle concept that consists of having a Church Without Walls. God’s word must be planted first in the individual, then secondly it must take root within the family and thirdly it must bear fruit within the community of man which transcends our cities, towns and nation into our very world. In this concept, Pastor Carter believes the word of God that says if one plants and another waters, God will give the increase AND get the glory.Pastor Carter’s vision of ministering to the whole man is being built daily in the lives of those in the Siloam Church International singles ministry developing individuals who are sanctified and separate. It is manifested in the marriage enrichment ministry producing stronger and solid marriages with sure spiritual foundations for Christian parenting. It is strengthened in the Generation Chosen and King’s Kid ministries whose sole mission is the spiritual evolution of the next generation of believers. It will also be developed in the lives touched by our Outreach Ministries dedicated to building spiritually healthy communities.Pastor Carter articulates a strong statement that Siloam Church International is a supernatural church with supernatural people doing supernatural things. Pastor Carter preaches that the only real choice to the problems of these turbulent times is salvation through Jesus Christ. While realizing that more people across the world needed a relevant word for their individual situations, he founded Jonathon Carter Ministries. The primary focus of this ministry is to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Siloam Church International Media Ministry and through daily radio and television broadcast. From the inner cities of Metropolitan Atlanta spanning across the United States, to the shores of the Bahamas and on to the outer banks of South Africa, Pastor Carter has delivered the good news that Jesus is Lord and has proclaimed the 21st century as a time for the Lord’s favor for his chosen people!Pastor Carter lives in Atlanta, Georgia with his wife Sylvia and their two children.
