About Me

I started out collecting beads for years. I wish I knew where some of them are now. There was always something that drew me to that corner of a store, outdoor market or garage sale where there were beads for sale. I'd buy them, look at them, be happy I had them; and then put them away. My boyfriend at the time would always ask me, aren't you going to make anything? I'd always answer yes, of course and then nothing.Family and friends would love the pieces that I had made for them and tell me that I should start selling them. I thought that's silly; until I started researching the idea and saw that there is a market for high quality, hand made jewelry.

My Interests

Making beaded jewelry, going to movies, cooking and hanging at home with my pooch. Reconnecting with people that I used to know when I lived here (Massachusetts) as a teen. Hanging out and getting to know my family that I didn't get to know for the past 30 years. Trying to make new friends here, however, Massachusetts is NOT like Chicago where everyone's friendly. Here, they think you have an agenda and are all pretty clicky. I"M TRYING THOUGH. Never had a tough time meeting new people as I do here. It sucks. I know, wah-wah, poor me.......................................................... ..My favorite band: U2. In July,1985, they played a concert called Live Aid for famine relief in Africa. When I heard this song, it truly changed my life. The recording has a little glitch in it about 10 minutes into it, but it's the best recording of the whole 12 minutes of the song BAD with video that I could find. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. It still gives me goose bumps.

I'd like to meet:

Other people who are into creativity and making things.I have two web sites: www.designsbydiane.com or www.dckdesigns.etsy.com.Check them out. Below are a few of the things I make.

All different kinds. I'm kind of a hippie when it comes to music. I love the 60's 70's, love the 80's, like the 90's and so far the 21st century isn't too bad either.

Action pictures and anything with Mark Walberg, Christopher Walken, Gene Hackman, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, or Ben Affleck.Although, I do love this quirky flick Two Moon Junction. I think it's one of the most sexy films I've ever seen, or at least that's what I thought the last time I saw it. It has this guy, named Richard Tyson, who in the day, was HOT and Sherilyn Fenn...need I say more?I also like the movie Be Cool, because John and Uma have such good chemistry and the whole rap/hip hop sub-plot is hilarious. Also a movie called Remember the Titans: Great movie!! A must see. I respect the whole dialog of the climate at the time and how things really haven't changed all that much.

BB8- I LOVE EVEL DICK!!!Anything detective like. Law & Order, Shark, Ghost Whisperer, Close to Home, Numbers... you get the picture, however, I also love HOUSE.Dude! You're 100% from Massachusetts!

Dude! Me and Sully and Fitzie and Sean are gonna hit Landsdowne tonight after the game, hang out at the Beerworks. I'll pick you up at the Coop at 6.

Crafters - how are you selling your products?

This blog is for crafters... My question is, how are you doing marketing your products.  I just started on Etsy, and I'm finding it difficult to make sales.  I know my prices are fair, proba...
