Martial Arts

About Me

My Interests

Cooking, Martial Arts, Painting and drawing, Gardening and Permaculture

I'd like to meet:

You can help me and my little production group out by doing the following:
1. Repost this for me!
2. Join any of the sites which interest you, and participate in the forums, maintain a blog, or send us an article!
3. See thise little icons? They're for social bookmarking sites like Digg, del.icio.us, Yahoo, etc. If you have an account on any of these, click the icon to bookmark an article or some content that you like. If you don't have one, create one and then bookmark a few things! This will go a very long way in generating traffic to the sites, and reduce the amount we have to spend on advertising, so we can spend more on creating quality content.
4. Post a link to these sites on your blog, website, etc. or write a blog entry, or whatever you want
5. Invite other people and spread the word!

Combative Martial Arts. This is the site that we had originally planned. However, although I'll probably devote most of my time and resources to this project, I decided that the scope of what I wanted to do was a bit bigger than this. Combative Martial Arts is devoted primarily to practical self defense and survival issues. These include real world effective martial arts, home and vehicle security, firearms, and so on. Having lived for many years in the so-called 3rd world, I've seen lots of bad things happen to people, and this site is primarily aimed at people somewhere between those who want to protect themselves and their families, and those who serve in the military or work in the professional protection industry.

Internal/Spiritual Martial Arts . This is one of my biggest areas of interest these days. In fact, in the next two months I'll be moving from here in South Korea to China in order to focus more on Chinese Internal Martial Arts, because . . . I'm not getting any younger or any more handsome, and my focus these days is more on striving towards perfection, and the notion that I can use my body as a vehicle to better understand my 'real' self.
Strategy And Tactics . I'm guessing that the forums of this site is where you'll most often find me being the most active. This site is dedicated to classic and modern texts and thought on strategy and tactics. Those may be related to military endeavors, business, or in your own personal life. First order of business? "What's your personal strategy for __X__?". I'm really interested in hearing what other people think, and how they live their lives!
Dynasty Swords. A small site about swords, sword manufacture, maintenance and fencing. Not very developed yet, but it will be.

Good Tao Trading Co. Is under construction, but this will be the future home of the company that I am going to start after I move to China in a couple of months. The business will be dedicated to high quality products, equipment and services related to internal martial arts (specifically Tai Chi), preventative medicine and health, and related services. Thanks to everyone who has helped out and supported with these projects, and who continue to do so. -Jon Republic Of Korea (soon to be Yunnan, China!)

This is my Tai Chi, Business, and Personal Blog . . . When I move to China I'm going to start focusing heavily and almost exlusively on training Tai Chi, and this will document that, as well as my martial arts ventures, adventures, SEO stuff, etc.

Steelrobe 2.0 - Subculture in Asia . . . Everything you ever wanted to know about Punk/Oi!/Rockabilly/Ska, etc. in Asia. Oh yeah - and some fruits in costumes, too.
