About Me

He was born in 1972 in Gyôr, Hungary. He began his studies with the double-bass at the age of 13. In 1988 being influenced by Mark King, he decided to become a bass guitarist. In 1991 he was involved with the popular Hungarian jazz band 'TEA'. He is familiar with almost all types of music from rock to jazz.Popular bass player on top pop records in Hungary. His fabulous bass guitar sound and composer force determined the new charasteristics of Djabe. He got in connection with Djabe as a session musician, and since 1997 he has been a constant member of the band. Since September 1997 he has been a sound-engineer at Gramy Recording Studio, Djabe..s own recording studio. He is the arranger of the recordings as well as live performances. The arranger of the band is Tamás Barabás, who gained the acknowledgment of the sound engineers of Abbey Road with his excellent sound engineering in mixing the 5.1 surround of the Sheafs are Dancing album. The studio of Djabe is one of the most modern Hungarian studios, however, the band has had contact with the famous Abbey Road Studio in London since 1998. The very first Hungarian Enhanced CD, the Witchi Tai To by Djabe was prepared in the sometime workshop of the Beatles and Pink Floyd, an interactive computer material was added on this album, too. In 2003 it was the Abbey Road again who was charged with the task of completing the authoring of the first Hungarian DVD Audio (Sheafs are Dancing). According to the studio, they have not worked on such a complex and exacting DVDaudio disc before.
