Peter Bakaja has been trying to establish a rock band since 2004. After years of seeking members, in the band Soundtrack, he met Peter Kovács together with whom their musical tastes were quite similar, so he asked him if he wanted to join, and so he did. They've found Peter Somos, only 16-year-old then, for drummer.
The first rehearsal took place on the 28th of January 2006. They were practising covers and began writing their own music. They decided that until they found a singer, Peter Bakaja would sing, but because of the need of vocal melodies and lyrics for originals, he happened to remain the singer. In the summer of 2006 they decided to record their five originals already written by that time. The demo was recorded on the 19th of August, in the studio of the University of Technology, and the mixing and sound engineer was Bence Bucsy.
In 2007, the band had some concerts and continued composing. Around September, they decided that it would be worth recording the already made new songs because of the poor sound of the first demo. Meanwhile, at the beginning of October, unfortunately, Peter Somos quitted the band, so, together with the recordings, a drummer-searching began. One of the old drummers, Robert Gacsályi, became the new one. The demo was ready with the help of László Baranyi, who also took on some "producership" beside sound engineering, at the end of February.
In April 2008 the band was asked by the Californian 272 Records to be part of their compilation called Kill City Vol. 9.! The album was released on 27th May 2008 and included a remastered version of the song S.O.L.! Meanwhile in May and June the band performed live concerts successfully. They were broadcasted live on the net in a Guiness Record Attempt.
Solid is writing new songs, and working on gaining opportunities to take its music to as many people as possible...Band members:Peter Bakaja is the bassist and singer of the group, born in 1982, he graduated at Ferenc Liszt University in 2004 as a jazz bass guitar player, and as a jazz double bass player in 2005. He played, and plays in several groups in several styles. Nowadays his member of the working band Soundtrack, a group which plays songs of Tarantino movies.Robert Gacsalyi is the drummer, born in 1982, he graduated at Ferenc Liszt University in 2005 at the classical faculty. He is member of the Magyar Honvédség Központi Zenekara.Peter Kovacs is the guitarist of the band, born in 1979. He is an autodidact as a musician.
