Mark Ambrose

I started as a lover of electronic house music back in the late 80s. I soon became hooked on the music mainly from Chicago, New York and Detroit. In 1989 I decided to get myself a pair of Technics 1210's and started mixing as a bedroom DJ. Not long after I was getting booked play in clubs around the south coast of England. After finding love for synthesizers samplers and drum machines I went on to producing my own music and in 1997 I started my own label CRAYON. I became labelled as an abstract Tech House artist on which i recorded most on crayon. I also recorded tracks under the name SKYMASTER... a more heavier Techno style project. There were 4 releases on Leftfields Offshoot label. One memorable track was Shooting stars, which became a underground classic amongst the Techno crowd. I have recorded for other labels such as Force inc, Minifunk records, Solid Goove ,Offshoot, Euphoria and others. I have travelled as a DJ around the world playing at many nightclubs including England, Spain, Norway, Croatia, Brazil, U.S.A, Canada, France, Slovenia, Denmark, Germany, Australia, Malaysia, Penang and Singapore. Currently after a absence from the music scene I am recording again Aubrey's well known SOLID GROOVE label and also recording new tracks for the re-release of my own Crayon imprint.
