Band Members: JD records and performs regularly with Katherine Prouse , an extraordinarily talented jazz singer. They perform regularly at Mario's Place in Riverside, CA. He also performs with "Playlist", a cover/dance band, and "Yardsale", a 7 piece '70s blues/disco band. JD has recently worked with Christian singer/songwriter, Mariah Langford ; and also with a very talented young singer/songwriter named Linsea ; and The Frankie Russel Band, featuring the classic style rock n roll songs of Frankie Russell. JD has performed at various churches including Elsinore First Assembly, South Hills Church, Corona International Christian Fellowship, among others.
Influences: JD draws his influences from many sources, from R&B to rock to jazz and everywhere in-between, and that shows in his ability to blend in to virtually any musical situation. His favorite bass players are: Marcus Miller, Anthony Jackson, Alfonso Johnson, Jaco Pastorious, Stanley Clarke, Abraham Laborial, Larry Graham, Pino Paladino, Verdine White, Louis Johnson, Rocco Prestia, James Jamerson and many others;
Sounds Like: JD has an uncanny ability to blend in to virtually any musical situation. He always adds his own special funky energy to whatever music he is performing.
