Making music since 13 years old the bass player, singer and composer Mauricio Oliveira now 35 years old synthesis all his experiences as a musician, singer and composer working and traveling along some of the greatests brazilian singers and musicians around Brazil, Europe, Mexico and USA in his debut solo CD intituled REGISTRO.
Graduate with honors at the Musicians Institute in California, Mauricio Oliveira has studied with great names as John Patitucci, Gary Willis, Jeff Berlin, Carl Schoreder, and he brought all that music knowledge to synthesize his memories and musical experiences traveling from bossa nova to forro, maracatu, samba, pop and jazz..
His first solo album Registro mixes the best of the contemporany brazilian music after his experince working with artists like Seu Jorge, Alceu Valenca,Kid Abelha, Flavio Venturini and Lenine.
Mauricio captures the essense of the carioca, northeast and Minas Gerais music and that fusion makes you travel inside the best of the new brazilian music language.
The swing of the carioca samba from Rio de Janeiro, the incredible rhytims from Pernambuco and the intricade harmonies from the mountains of Minas Gerais.
