About Me

I've had the same bio up for awhile so I thought I'd make a few changes. Not that a lot has changed for me musically. A breif history: I cut my teeth in cover bands in Shreveport and LA. When I moved to LA in 84, I thought I should learn about the business of music so I did. I worked for a PR firm, a music magazine and ultimately, a publisher, where I eventually became a songplugger. I started writing songs relatively late in the game but ended up getting a couple of tunes on some TV shows. I moved to Austin in 94, kept writing and ended up making three records for a German label and touring in Europe with bands from here and there. I've been to some amazing places and met some very wonderful people on my journeys. The best part about touring in Europe are the enduring friendships. And the wine and cheese, of course!I am now what I suppose would be considered semi-retired from performing but I continue to write. Not as much as I'd like but I can't stop now. I have a quiet musical life. This last year was a tough one and I went through a lot of changes but I'm better for it. I can honestly say that I've never been happier. I also paint when I get the inspiration but I'm not good at sitting in one place for too long so I don't do it very often. I sold my first painting last year.I've always been a late bloomer...I edited my profile with Thomas Myspace Editor V4.4 (www.strikefile.com/myspace)
