"They write their songs with lightning and rock like they want blood". - Ray Wylie Hubbard
“Those kids have a passion and energy that too few acts have now. They write really unique songs." - Hayes Carll.
"When The Dedringers play the Hollywood Bowl we hope that they will let us open for them". - James Mc Murtry
At the ripe old age of 21 the Dedringers are on a roll. Recently they have opened shows for The Doobie Brothers, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Joe Ely, James Mc Murtry, Hayes Carll and a number of others. They have the unique ability to win over audiences young and old. "People our age like us because what we do seems different. Older audiences like us because they grew up listening to the music that has influenced us", says Sean Faires, co-founder of the band. He and partner Jonny Burke have been playing together for five years developing their style and honing in on a razor sharp live show.
Sean and Jonny take their music seriously and work hard to uphold the traditions of their musical heroes. They believe in the power of music and it's ability to move the hearts and souls of listeners. “I would be embarrassed to play one of my songs in front of an audience if I did not believe that the words were there†says Jonny.
The Dedringers have have the ability captivate audiences with their ballads consisting of honest lyrics, succinct harmonies and tasteful accompaniment and then follow up by rocking you hard somewhere between early Wilco, The Drive By Truckers and (electric) Neil Young.
They are currently preparing to record a collection of their songs with producer R.S. Field.
