Hailing from Winnipeg, but growing up in Calgary, I decided to leave Calgary in 2007 and land in Toronto to pursue the music industry. Now embarking on a journey in the "Real World", I am currently taking the Producing and Engineering course at Harris Institute. Besides wrapping XLR cables perfectly and running around helping as many Artists as I can to reach their potential stardom...I subdue to my photography. I have been in the business since 2006 and just last November I joined an incredible local magazine called SoundProof Magazine. Although we are still a young online magazine, we are growing tremendously and it's the music lovers that run and contribute that make this happen! As of right now, I freelance by helping independent bands with promo material and also live gigs whilst doing my duty on SoundProof.
When i'm not shooting and in school...I play the role of "the musician". I have been playing guitar for 10 years and drums for about 6 years...
Inspiration and influences come from several people but some key players would be, Neil Peart, Nancy Wilson, Alex Lifeson, Toni Iommi, Matthew Bellamy....and many more...mostly from the progressive rock area.
I also help out the local Toronto band, Drowning Girl. I play many roles with them, as photographer, marketing, PR, Roadie, road manager, etc etc.
If you want to contact me about setting up a day for promo shots/live shots...give me a shout through my email [email protected]
