If a path to the better there be, it begins with a full look at the worst(Thomas Hardy)

About Me

PLEASE LOOK AT http://www.meniescotland.co.uk/ THERE ARE PETITIONS ON THIS SITE OPPOSING THE DONALD TRUMP GOLF DEVELOPMENT ON THE ABERDEENSHIRE COAST- IT IS URGENT THAT WE GET AS MUCH SUPPORT TO OPPOSE THE DESTRUCTION OF THE ENVIRONMENT! PLANNING APPLICATION ON 30TH OCTOBER!Seems like just about everybody has a Myspace these days, so after about 10 seconds developing an idea I decided to just get stuck in and use Myspace to discuss (with myself) some of the things that intererest and annoy me.

I love plants and gardening (although it's a bit of a challenge on the coast of the Moray Firth)I have a degree in biology and would love to study more. I also like to paint plants - you can have a look at my paintings on:

diannesutherland.com

At the moment I'm employed in arts education - so I don't get any time to paint :(( but it's only for a year or so so I'll be able to get back to studying and painting again in the not too distant future.

Guess thats about it really!

My Interests

Plants, soil, gardening, bees, bacteria, viruses and signing up for courses that I don't have time to do. Painting botanical stuff -in 2006 I won my first RHS silver medal at the Gardeners World show (Birmingham)! I also exhibit with the Society of Botanical Artists and this year have a painting in the Hunt Institute International exhibition. Also like chopping stuff up for a bit of microscopy. Check out my web site to view my paintings. diannesutherland.com
