Hello & thank you for visiting MySpace. My name is Kevin George Smith and I am a songwriter in Nashville. Music is my Life after God & my Lover. My performance credits as a touring guitar player include The Mary Janes, The Royals & Sticky Fingers. My current project is my own band The Rhinestone Vampires. I have written songs with some of the best, including Kostas, Marty Brown, J.D. Simo and Benita Hill. Otherwise, I like to write by myself. We set the bar and it is up to us to jump over it. "A good writer is a good performer & a good performer is a good writer". My formal ingredients for a song are a little bit of Keith Richards, Gram Parsons and Lucinda Williams with a whole lot of Pop, Iggy you know & Hank Williams. That is a wonderful place to start for me as a writer so I can be honest & commercial. Harlan Howard said it best when it comes to a song "Three Chords & The Truth".
