Good work Eric! .. ..WOW! Festival June 2007 ‘A vibrant new festival to bring the heart of our town alive’. Theme for this year ‘Rebirth’WOW! is a self-funded festival to be created by the people of Northampton in celebration our diverse and multi-cultural heritage. The festival will be as inspirational and exciting as we, the inhabitants of Northampton choose to make it. It will run for three weeks from June 12th to Sunday July 1st and will act as a catalyst for the cultural regeneration of our community (common-unity). The festival includes a fantastic array of events - multi-media/multi-cultural performances, exhibitions, children's events, craft/health fair, workshops, talks, The Declaration of a Bardic Chair at Delapre Abbey on Sunday June 17th (.. bring a picnic!) and a National Busking competition. Sunday 24th June in the Market Square.
We hope this project will fire your imagination and inspire you to become involved, so that together can produce a fantastic community festival with people at its core. We know there is a wealth of talent and untapped potential out there and great possibilities for our town. Its time to wake up Northampton with a burst of positive action ! Lets jointly create something we, the people, can be proud of.
