About Me

Poster below by Luke Drozd
New Theme Prison -

Don’t be a prisoner to your own ignorance. Read this latest issue of the Don’t Panic magazine and discover how in England and Wales we jail more people than anywhere else in Western Europe. Read interviews with Pure Evil, who should have been locked up years ago for his rabid vandalism and Pull Tiger Tail who remain proudly liberated from all artistic pretensions. Find out how agoraphobia can make people prisoners in their own homes and read the story of Moazzam Begg who was kidnapped by the CIA and incarcerated in Guantanamo Bay for two years without trial. Emily does two dates this issue – one with soulful, Tom Waits-esque crooner Julian Velard and the other with an ex-offender. We have artwork from Dr Parsons and the ICA’s Insider Art exhibition and also an encounter with Mordechai Vanunu who has spent the last 18 years behind bars (11 in solitary confinement) for exposing Israel’s illegal nuclear weapons programme. Read on.
The front cover poster for this issue is by Luke Drozd, whose poster is available now in all Don't Panic outlets. Find one here .
