Device are from the musical epicentre of the UK, yes you’ve guessed it Milton Keynes but don’t let that put you off.We got together in the summer of 2005 having played with other bands for many years and we're brought together by our love for stupidly loud guitars, long hair and rock music. In 2006 Bud joined as our new drummer who shared the same passion and brought his own distinctive style into the band. Our lives revolve around our music, performing and throwing our hair around on stage. We want people to leave our gigs feeling like they been hit in the face with a sweat filled balloon, kicked in the nuts and thoroughly satisfied from jumping around like an idiot. We have been influenced by the vast array of rock from the sixties to the present day. Our mix of strong, powerful, progressive and melodic rock seems to cover the whole spectrum if the audiences at our gigs are anything to go by.Gigs last year have included: Carling Academy and Barfly Birmingham, XFM launch party at The Hardrock Café Cardiff, the oxjam finals at Cargo in London where we opened and closed the evenings events, Oh Bar London, Club Vertigo and Bonds Bar Tamworth, West Coast Rock Cafe Blackpool, The Pitz Milton Keynes and numerous gigs in Northampton, Oxford and MK.The first year was spent writing and gigging, strengthening our relationships and commitment. September 2006 we were offered the sponsorship required to take time out to finish writing the album then rehearse tirelessly until we felt confident enough to enter a recording studio.
February 2007 we made our way to the Sawmills Studios in Cornwall where some of our favourite bands like Muse and Idlewild have recorded. It was an experience beyond expectations and one we will never forget. We returned with our debut album.
In January of 2008 we signed up to Lockjaw Records and planned a debut release with them for the 31st March 2008, achieving some great publicity for the band with up and coming reviews from magazines like Kerrang, Rocksound, Big Cheese and hopefully get them into shops, HMV, ZAVVI etc.
Keep your eyes and ears peeled for our forthcoming tours to catch us live.

"Since forming two years ago, Device have been creating tracks that are powerful, have passionate rock elements, full of liveliness and memorable lyrics but more importantly, tracks that would be hard to pigeonhole." 9/13

"Their album's material (10 tracks totalling just over 53 minutes of listening time) probably needs some attention to get into, but once dó get hooked, you're caught "hook, line, and sinker", as the saying goes! Great album." 90/100
