For as long as I can remember, I knew there was something a little different about myself.
As a child, I would hear voices that nobody else in the room heard. I would see people that nobody else saw. My parents dismissed it as an over active imagination. I was a typical child, I could play, pretend, but these people and voices were real. As I grew older, my frustration turned to anger - why didn’t anyone believe me?
During my teen years, the voices and visits became more frequent and, as I now had some understanding of the afterlife, I grew more afraid. I would hide under my covers, shout at the unwanted visitors asking them to leave. The strange thing was, they did just that - they respected my wishes and left me alone! However, occasionally I would still hear someone calling my name, or see a shadow glide past my bedroom door, as if to let me know, they were still around, waiting until I was ready to talk.
In 1994, I lost my mother suddenly to a brain tumour. My world instantly fell apart. Looking for comfort, I chose this time to turn to my mediumship and develop it further. I began by doing readings for people who I didn’t know anything about, and couldn’t believe how easily it flowed.
Still, without running before I could walk, I regularly meditated, met my guides and consulted them often. I look upon my guides as my spiritual family, who I trust wholeheartedly. I never do anything in life without consulting my guides first and getting their advice.
I have always had a special natural gift, a spiritual path to follow.
I didn’t choose to be a Medium, it chose me.
