.. "In the ancient times, a time so long ago, in the ancient cities of Egpyt, a kingdom, Osmiris stood on it's foundations, successfully capturing provinces and pushing itself more and more into power. The powerful Pharaoh, Seti I, ruled with intelligence and power. Seti I had everything to live for. A great kingdom, subjects who loved him, a beloved daughter, Nerfetiri, and a beautiful, luscious, present from the family of a nearby noble kingdom, Anck-Su-Namun as his future wife. For Seti, things could not have gotten any better, or worse....or could it? I was a soldier of the Pharaoh's private guard, I know what happened then... I was there...The death and destruction they caused in the Crusades (which of course ignores the fact that they fought to keep alive the Christianity which those anti-Masons now enjoy in a free society); supposedly occult or pagan rituals (based either on hearsay from other anti-Masons or from anti-Templar material promulgated as the Catholic Church as it sought to bring the Templars 'to heel', fearing that their power and the respect in which they were held by the populace would ultimately bring down the Papacy); "confessions" made by Templars, given while being tortured (or the later 'revealed' confessions made public by the Inquisition); the complete and total disappearance without a trace of the medieval organization (fueling speculation of conspiracy theories still rampant some 600+ years later and assuming that the organization had a huge membership unlike the reality of barely a couple of hundred!)

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Shortly after 3:00 P.M. on July 20, Hood sent 19,000 of his gray clad soldiers into the valley of Peachtree Creek. The battle raged until 6:30, and was marked by courageous Rebel charges into the mouths of belching cannon and rifles -- charges that Johnston would never have asked the men to make. They were slaughtered. Hood lost 4,796 men; Thomas, with about the same number engaged, lost only 1,779. Hood was not deterred -- and this was just the beginning. The five hours of battle did not go well for the Rebels. Hood had lost the tactical advantage of having the Union Army split by the river; most of the Union Army had crossed by the time the battle started that afternoon. Now, instead of attacking an enemy split by a physical barrier, elements of the Confederate Army were advancing on three divisions of the Union Army entrenched on high ground.Continued attacks by the Confederates failed to produce results. At sunset the Rebels called off the assault without any gains. Union commanders set about the task of burying the dead, and by their count more than 800 Confederate soldiers were put into the ground. With this many dead it tends to indicate that Hood underreported his losses by at least 2,000 men.

I got hit in my stomach just when I was foolishly trying to get some protection from a bush. I fell down grabbing my belly. A river of blood spouting from a fatal wound started escaping through my fingers as I desperately tried to cry for help but... no sound came out from my mouth. I could hardly believe my eyes... Damn bastards !!! I never thought that I'd lose my life in such an inglorious way... I was laying there for hours in awful agony wishing for death to come fast to finally release me... the shot seemed to have come from far however, although my eyes were foggy I still could see his boots close to my face... - I should've kept my previous position... but somehow, I knew that I had to die in Peachtree Creek... - I heard more shots, I knew they were shooting the wounds... I knew that sooner it will be me... another shot... the mercy blow, the final stroke which put an end to my pain releasing me at last. It happened almost 150 years ago but to me, seems like yesterday..

In 1943 the RAF began a bombing campaign against Germany, the like of which had never before been seen. Over the next twelve months, tens of thousands of aircrews flew across the North Sea to drop their bombs on German cities. We were opposed not only by the full force of the Luftwaffe, but by a nightmare of flak, treacherously icy conditions, and constant mechanical malfunction. Most of our crews never finished their tour of operations but were either shot down and killed, or taken prisoner by an increasingly hostile enemy(... I'm feeling so lonely here inside this frozen cockpit... in less than a hour the Germany skies will gonna witness one of the most intense and destructive bombing raids of ever... however, the Luftwaffe will gonna have their deadly "Messerchmidts" ready to fight us... I have a bad feeling... somehow, I know this is going to be my last mission... this cockpit will be my tomb...I know that I will meet my end soon... wrapped in a ball of fire, diving into oblivion...

A world war in 2015 killed nearly three billion people. The people that survived grew closer together. Life is centered around the family and then the community. I can not imagine living even a few hundred miles away from my parents. There is no large industrial complex creating masses of useless food and recreational items. Food and livestock is grown and sold locally. People spend much more time reading and talking together face to face. Religion is taken seriously and everyone can multiple and divide in the heads.Nevertheless man will survive as a species but that man's technology base will not survive. Over a long duration of time, events that are highly improbable start to become statistically relevant. For example, there is a huge super volcano that encompasses the entire area of Yellowstone National Park. It will erupt one day and destroy a vast area of the USA and throw the rest of the world into the next ice age. Our technology base will collapse along with our economic infrastructure and result in wide-scale loss of life, but it has happened before and man as a species survived. The same argument could equally apply to large asteroids.
