Kirstie has been involved in talent shows, professional theater, community theater, and benefit concerts since she was 7 years old. She got the bug after her first solo in her Kindergarten Christmas show, although she has performed for the video camera since she was two! She recorded many songs while growing up in Janesville, WI and made a complete CD at the age of 12 which is listed on cdbaby.com with two remakes and all original songs from many different writers. Kirstie moved to Green Bay over 4 years ago and was able to find a mentor in Victoria Vox. They worked together on songwriting and performing.
She has kept busy singing the National Anthem for many of her high school football, soccer, volleyball and basketball games. She recently sang at the Milwaukee Brewer game on September 5 and that was a thrill for her. She also has performed at the Timber Rattlers baseball games the past three summers and also at the Green Bay Gambler games. One of her most memorable singing event was performing the National Anthem at the Packer Shareholder meeting in front of 9,000 people at the Resch Center in July 2005.
Singing at the Chick Singer Night in Milwaukee in 2005 opened up many new doors! That was followed by meeting Julie Carter-Moriva and becoming involved in NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) in Green Bay. She has been co-writing with members of the group and meeting a lot of great people! She performed last year at her 2nd annula CSN and is going back in Decemer. Thanks to the NSAI, Kirstie has made two trips to Nashville to join Marc-Allan Barnette's group tours. Raisin the Bar and World Class Boyfriend were written with Marc and Julie.
Kirstie is involved in a new venture! Jay Brehmer, Ted Gloeckler, Tom Schmied and Kirstie have joined forces in a new band. Called Mahogany Ridge they are ready to start to hitting the road. The band performed at the Rock County Fair this July and will be booking out soon. Check out upcoming gigs!
She spends free time writing, practicing with the band, hanging out with friends, running track and cross country for high school, working at the DQ and singing all the time!
