Mamadou Sarr: Musician - Djembe, Sabar, Djun Djun, Tama, Calabash, Congas. Currently based in London, UK, Mamadou Sarr is a performer, composer, arranger, teacher and workshop facilitator.
Mamadou performs with the 7-piece Senegalese group "Lolou". Lolou's musicians have independently been performing on the international music scene for many years, touring with Senegalese superstars such as Cheikh Lo, Baaba Maal, Youssou Ndour, Doudou Ndiaye Rose, Thione Seck, Omar Pene and Daby Balde. Now the team are all based in London and have formed their own dynamic new group and the result is Lolou! The band are currently recording their first album. Mamadou will also be on tour with Nuru Kane and the Bayefall Gnawa during 2008 and can be seen performing across the UK and beyond. (See www.myspace.com/nurukane for further details).

Mamadou Sarr is a superb, charismatic musician. Previous performances both in the UK and internationally include working with such luminaries as Baaba Maal, Doudou N'Diaye Rose, Modou M'Baye Seck, Mamady Keita, Vieux Farka Toure, Steve Reid, Patti Boulaye and many more.
Fianlly, in addition to performing, Mamadou does an enormous amount of teaching in both the formal and informal education sectors and for corporate organisations such as Drum Cafe .
